Employee Code of Conduct Policy

Policy statement

The Code of Conduct supports the Town’s core values of leadership, inclusivity, sustainability, quality of life, fiscal responsibility, and excellence. Town employees are accountable to the Town, Council, and the community of Oakville, and are responsible for the assets entrusted to them. Town employees must demonstrate the highest standards of ethical, business, and personal behaviour. Therefore, every Town employee is expected to comply with the Code of Conduct and other policies and procedures that govern employee behaviour.  

Purpose

This policy applies to all Town employees (including but not limited to full-time, part-time, students, seasonal, temporary and interns), any individual representing or acting on behalf of the Town in any manner (i.e. contractors, consultants)
