Policy statement

The Town of Oakville (town) provides employees with reward programs that are legislatively compliant, fiscally sustainable and that enable the town to attract retain and reward a qualified and diverse workforce.

Purpose

This policy enables the framework that provides employees with monetary and non-monetary rewards for the time, talent and effort they invest in achieving town goals and objectives.  The rewards are intended to attract, motivate and retain the talent required to achieve the town’s vision.  The elements include, but are not limited to:

  • Performance and recognition
  • Development and career opportunities

Scope

This policy applies to all full time permanent employees of the town. Employees covered by collective agreements are also subject to the terms and conditions of their respective collective agreement.
