Town facility closures on Labour Day, September 6, 2021

We hope that everyone can enjoy a fun, safe and relaxing long weekend.

All town facilities including Town Hall, community centres and libraries are closed to the public on Monday, September 6. Please review the following facility closures and schedule updates:

Town Hall is closed September 6.

To report urgent problems related to roads, traffic lights and signs, parks and trees or storms, call 905-845-6601 to be connected with our after-hours service.

All community centres will be closed on September 6, so pre-registered activities will not be available that day.  

Please note that all outdoor pools will close for the season on September 5.

All Oakville Public Library branches will be closed on September 5 and 6.

No Parking signs and increased fines will be implemented around popular parks to help reduce overcrowding, traffic congestion and illegal parking in these areas which can impact neighbourhood safety and access for emergency service vehicles. For more information, visit our On-Street Parking page.

The Bronte Outer Harbour office and fuel dock are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Oakville Transit will provide holiday service on Monday, September 6.

Holiday service is the same as Sunday level of service, and is provided from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If your long weekend plans include a trip to the cottage, backyard fires or BBQs, the Oakville Fire department is urging you to take the proper precautions to stay safe.
