Eligible voters can still cast their ballot on October 26

Advance voting in Oakville’s municipal election ended on Sunday, October 18, 2026. During ten days of advance voting, 14,787 ballots were cast at voting locations across Oakville, demonstrating strong early participation by voters.

Oakville’s eligible voter population has continued to grow since the previous municipal election. Advance voting remained a popular option with 8.35 per cent of Oakville's electoral population casting their ballot before election day.

This year, the Town added an additional day of advance voting and again offered in-person voting over the Thanksgiving long weekend, providing great convenience and flexibility for voters, including post-secondary students who were home for the holiday.

Election Day is October 26

Eligible voters who have not yet voted can cast their ballot at one of 40 locations that are open on Monday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On Election Day, eligible voters can vote at any location in their ward as shown on their voter card or the Where to Vote page. Those who did not receive a voter card can still vote by showing acceptable identification that has their name and qualifying address.

Voters are encouraged to check their name, address and school support online using the Town’s Am I On the List tool. If your information is incorrect, follow the instructions on the Town's website to make the necessary changes as soon as possible. Checking voter information now can help ensure a smoother voting experience on Election Day.
