Check your voter information

The Municipal Election is taking place on Monday, October 26, 2026. If you're eligible to vote, make sure your name and address are up to date on the voters’ list. 

Information from the voters’ list is used to mail voter information notices with details about when and where to vote. 

Online updates 

You can check or update your voter information using the Town’s Am I On the List tool. If you have moved recently, make sure your voting information matches your current address.

You can use the tool to: 

• Confirm your voter information
• Add your name to the voters' list
• Update your address

You will need government-issued identification to make updates online.

Student voters

Students may be eligible to vote in both the municipality where they live while attending school and the municipality they consider their permanent home.

If you are a student living away from home, make sure your voter information reflects the addresses where you are eligible to vote.

School support

As a property owner in Ontario, you are required to support a school system, even if you do not have children or your children are not currently attending school. 

Your school support designation determines which school board trustee candidates you can vote for in the municipal election.

This information can be found on your Property Assessment Notice. If you need to update your school support designation, you can do so through the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) online tool.
