Share feedback on the preferred concept design at July 8 public meeting
The Town of Oakville wants to hear from the community about the preferred concept design for Riverstone Park. Based on feedback from public engagement sessions in late March 2026 and May 2026, the preferred concept lays out the park’s overall design and featured amenities.
The vision for Riverstone Park has been shaped through a collaborative public consultation process to ensure the new green space is vibrant, accessible, sustainable, and reflective of the community’s needs.
Public consultation opportunity
Residents are invited to participate in an in-person meeting:
- Date: Wednesday, July 8, 2026
Time: 7 to 9 p.m.
Location: Oakville Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road – Oakville and Trafalgar Rooms
The meeting will include a staff presentation on the preferred concept design, followed by an opportunity to share feedback.
Input from the community will help finalize the conceptual design of Riverstone Park with construction scheduled to begin in April 2027. Timelines are tentative and subject to change.

Background
- Riverstone Park is located along Trafalgar Road between Riverstone Drive and Rosegate Way. The area is approximately 0.65 hectares (1.6 acres) and is being developed into new park space to meet the needs of current residents and future growth in uptown Oakville.
- Phase 1 of public consultation included a public meeting on March 26 and an online questionnaire from March 27 to April 10 for the community to provide input on what types of features and amenities they might like to see at the new park. Phase 2 included a public meeting on May 21 and invited the public to share feedback on multiple proposed concept designs.
- The Town has retained landscape architectural consultant Baker Turner Inc. for the park design.
