Advance Voting Days

Advanced voting continues until October 18 at multiple locations across the Town, providing voters with flexible voting options.

Election Day

On Monday, October 26, eligible voters can vote anywhere in their ward by showing acceptable identification that shows their name and address. Voters who received a voter card are encouraged to bring it with them when they come to vote. If you don’t receive a voter card, eligible voters are still able to vote.

Residents not sure of their ward or voting locations can use the Town’s “Where Do I Vote” tool to find out where they can vote.

Can’t make it in person

Those unable to attend a voting location may:

  • Request curbside voting on Election Day and have a ballot brought to their car.
  • Appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf using an appointment form (pdf). A proxy must be eligible to vote in Oakville and the form must be certified by the Town Clerk before it can be used.
  • Ask about other alternative voting options by emailing elections@oakville.ca or calling 905-815-6015.

Election results

Unofficial results will be posted on elections.oakville.ca after all voting locations close on October 26. Results will also be displayed live in the South Atrium at Town Hall, and the public is welcome to attend.

Official results will be posted on elections.oakville.ca, following certification of the results by the Town Clerk. The new Term of Council begins on November 16, 2026.
