Join the public consultation meeting and take the online questionnaire

The Town of Oakville is inviting the public to be a part of designing Riverstone Park, located along Trafalgar Road between Riverstone Drive and Rosegate Way. The area is approximately 0.65 hectares (1.6 acres) and is being developed into new park space to meet the needs of current residents and future growth in uptown Oakville.

The design of Riverstone Park will be shaped through a collaborative public consultation process to ensure the new green space is vibrant, accessible, sustainable, and reflective of the needs of the community.

Public consultation opportunities

Public consultation for the Riverstone Park project will be completed over three phases from March to July 2026. Park construction is expected to begin in April 2027. Timelines are tentative and subject to change.

Phase 1 public consultation will include:

  • An in-person public meeting
    • Attend the in-person public meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, 1051 Glenashton Dr., in the Southridge Room from 7 to 9 p.m.
    • Those who attend will be introduced to the project through a staff presentation and then have an opportunity to share their input and feedback on what types of features and amenities they might like to see at the new park.
  • An online community questionnaire
    • The public will be invited to participate in an online community questionnaire from March 27 to April 10, 2026. A link to the questionnaire will be shared on Town channels and the Riverstone Park page once it is available.

Input from the public meeting and the online questionnaire will help in the development of the design concepts for the park.

The second phase of public consultation, tentatively scheduled for May 2026, will provide an opportunity to give feedback on several design concepts. The third phase, tentatively scheduled for July 2026, will present a preferred design concept for public input and feedback. The project cost to develop Riverstone Park is $2.8 million.

The Town has retained landscape architectural consultant Baker Turner Inc. for the park design. To learn more about the park, take the online questionnaire, and stay updated on project milestones, please visit the Riverstone Park project page.
