What is proposed?

The purpose of this application is to develop the lands for employment purposes.

A proposed plan of subdivision, 12.14 hectares in size, seeks to divide the lands, a portion of the applicant’s landholdings, into three employment blocks with a total area of approximately 7.8 hectares together with the creation of one new 22 m wide public road, a 2.94 ha stormwater management pond, and the dedication of lands forming part of the Natural Heritage System to the Town.

The employment blocks located south of William Halton Parkway are proposed to be rezoned to Service Area Employment (SA-1) to accommodate a range of service commercial and employment uses.   A Holding Provision has been added related to the Parkway Belt West affecting the northerly tip of Block 2.

Lands situated north of William Halton Parkway are proposed to be rezoned to General Employment (GE-1) to facilitate the development of a modular assembly plant intended to support construction of new dwelling units in the broader area.
