Public Information Centre on June 23 invites community feedback on proposed updates

The Town is planning to improve active transportation infrastructure along Lakeshore Road East to support safer, healthier and more connected travel options for residents and visitors.

The community is invited to attend a drop-in Public Information Centre (PIC) on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the South Atrium at Oakville Town Hall to review the proposed design. The project area extends along Lakeshore Road East from Allan Street to Winston Churchill Boulevard.

A feasibility assessment identified opportunities to enhance cycling facilities along Lakeshore Road East. The recommended approach is to implement a continuous multi-use path along the full length of the study area, which will support a range of active transportation options such as walking, cycling and rolling.

Project details will be displayed on panel boards, and Town staff and project consultant team will be available to interact with the public and answer questions.

More details are available on the Lakeshore Road East Cycling Facility Feasibility Assessment page.
