What was passed?
Council for the Town of Oakville approved By-law 2026-073 to adopt Official Plan Amendment 083 and Zoning By-law Amendment 2026-074 under sections 17(23) and 34(18) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.
The purpose and effect of the applications is to redesignate and rezone the subject lands for the development of a high-density, mixed-use community served by new public roads and a connected park and open space system.

Legal notice
Any appeals to the proposed official plan amendment and zoning by-law amendment must be filed with the Town Clerk at 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON L6H 0H3; must set out the reasons for the appeal; and must be accompanied by the fee required by the Ontario Land Tribunal. A copy of the appeal form is available from the Ontario Land Tribunal website.
Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Ontario Land Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Land Tribunal, but the person or public body did not make written comments or oral submissions before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing unless in the opinion of the Ontario Land Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. Persons who may otherwise have an ability to appeal an adoption of an official plan amendment or passing of a zoning by-law amendment are limited to persons listed in subsections 17(24) and 34(19) of the Planning Act, respectively.
The last day for filing a notice of appeal is July 29, 2026.
