Budgets and Finances

The town’s Financial Services departments provide centralized accounting and financial services for the town. Specifically, the Financial Operations and Financial Planning department are responsible for:

  • Preparation of the annual budgets, operating and capital
  • Levying and collection of taxes on behalf of the town, region, school boards and BIA’s
  • Guiding the financial strategies of the town
  • Purchasing and paying for services
  • Accounting and management of the financial assets of the town
  • Asset management services
  • Payroll and benefit services
