North Oakville East Commercial Study
A town-initiated study that is part of the North Oakville East Secondary Plans Review.
The town has initiated a commercial study, which will provide a comprehensive understanding of the current and future commercial needs in the North Oakville East Secondary Plan Area, particularly within the Urban Core Areas.
The study area is focused on the lands north of Dundas Street, south of Highway 407, west of Ninth Line and east of Sixteen Mile Creek.
The study will include analysis and recommendations around the quantity, scale, location and type of retail and commercial spaces needed to serve the growing community. Commercial needs are wide-ranging and include grocery stores, retail stores, health services, professional services and other shops that meet people’s daily needs.
The North Oakville East Commercial Study will inform future updates to the North Oakville East Secondary Plan and is anticipated to conclude at the end of 2023.
