Celebrate June

The Town of Oakville is welcoming summer with a month full of opportunities to play, discover, reflect and connect.

Across Canada, June is recognized as National Indigenous History Month and Pride Month. June also marks Recreation and Parks Month, Bike Month and Seniors Month across Ontario.

As we recognize these important milestones, we invite you to learn, participate and celebrate with us all month long.

From exciting events, creative workshops and insightful exhibitions to programs and public spaces that inspire you to get moving and enjoy your community, there’s plenty to explore to help you make the most of June.

Learn, participate and celebrate with us

The Town of Oakville is situated on Treaty 14 and 22 lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat and Haudenosaunee. Oakville is currently home to many different First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We acknowledge and thank the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation for being stewards of this territory.

This National Indigenous History Month, the Town is encouraging residents to learn and reflect on Indigenous history, culture and reconciliation.
