Brookfield Road Drainage Improvements - Lakeshore Road West to Burnet Street

About the project

The Town is improving drainage on Brookfield Road, between Lakeshore Road and Burnet Street, to help manage stormwater and reduce drainage issues in the area.

The project includes installing modern stormwater features, such as underground storage and infiltration systems. Other work will include upgraded catch basins, new curbs and gutters, and restoring the road and boulevard areas once construction is complete, including the reinstatement of on street parking.

Project status

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of April 27, 2026 (weather permitting) and is expected to be completed by July 2026.

What to expect during construction

• Regular construction hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Lane restrictions and temporary road closures will be required
• Access to homes and properties will be maintained at all times
• Roadside parking on Brookfield Road will not be permitted during construction; on-street parking will be restored once work is complete

Tree protection

All trees within the road right-of-way will be protected during construction. Some trees may require minor pruning.
