Connection in Action

The Connection in Action Halton Initiative is a community project that aims to prevent and reduce social isolation and increase social connections for adults aged 55 and older.

The initiative has two main objectives:

  • Connect adults aged 55 and older with services and programs to boost social connectedness.
  • Offer capacity-building education and resources for community groups, service providers, and businesses to better support older adults.

As our population continues to age and grow, it is important we are all aware of the ways that social isolation negatively impacts the health and well-being of individuals and entire communities.
