About the Park Ambassador program
The Park Ambassador Program gives volunteers the chance to care for a park or trail. Volunteers usually agree to adopt a space for at least two years. Right now, all adoption spots are full.
Volunteers support this program by monitoring greenspace in Oakville and helping to keep our parks and trails litter free. Opportunities currently include volunteer hours as well as one time cleanup events.
With more than 340 active parks, playgrounds, and sports fields; three harbours; and 280 woodland parks and trails, there are plenty of ways for families, schools, youth groups, and corporations to get involved—whether for a single day or on a more regular basis.
