Wyecroft Road Improvements

A Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study (Class EA) for improvements to Wyecroft Road.

We initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study (Class EA) for improvements to Wyecroft Road from Bronte Road to Kerr Street, including South Service Road West between Third Line and Fourth Line. The improvements are required to meet the needs of the town to 2041.

A wide range of options were considered to satisfy travel demand within the Wyecroft Road corridor. The options were presented to the public on November 28, 2018. Based on the feedback received, the preferred solution is to improve the corridor for all transportation modes.

The study is conducted in accordance with ‘Schedule C’ requirements as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association "Municipal Class Environmental Assessment," (October 2000, as amended to 2015). This process is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.

The Class EA process includes:

  • public/external agency consultation
  • an evaluation of alternative solutions and alternative design concepts
  • an assessment of potential impacts associated with the proposed improvements
  • development of measures to mitigate identified impacts
