The Town is committed to playing its part in meeting the need for housing in our growing community. Housing required by the public includes a broad range of market-based, rental, affordable, social and assisted housing. Housing options ranging from single detached homes to apartments are also needed to meet the current and future needs of Oakville residents throughout all stages of their life.

A tool in the Planning Act that enables the town to mandate the provision of affordable housing within multi-unit development.
